Cookie Policy

This is a translation provided for information purposes. In the event of any discrepancy between the English and the Spanish version, the Spanish version shall prevail.

This cookie policy explains what cookies are, what types exist, which ones this website uses, for what purpose, whether they are first-party or third-party, and how long they are stored, as well as how to manage or delete them.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device when you visit it. It is used to remember information about your visit, such as the language you chose or the preferences you accepted, so that you do not have to set them again each time.

Spanish law distinguishes between technical or necessary cookies, which enable the basic operation of the site and do not require your consent, and all other cookies, which are only installed if you expressly accept them.

Types of cookies

Cookies are classified in three ways, and any given cookie belongs to one category in each group. This is the terminology used in the tables below.

By origin: who installs them

  • First-party cookies: installed and managed by this website itself, from a domain and server controlled by the site owner.
  • Third-party cookies: installed by an external provider through this website, and it is that provider who processes the information they collect. On this site the only third-party cookies are those of Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics), and only if you accept them.

By duration: how long they are stored

  • Session cookies: deleted automatically when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies: they remain on your device until the expiry date shown in the tables, or until you delete them yourself. The specific period for each one is given in the “Storage period” column.

By purpose: what they are for

  • Technical or necessary: essential for the website to work, to display it in the correct language and to remember your response to the cookie notice. They do not require consent.
  • Preference or personalisation: they remember display options you have chosen. This site uses no preference cookies beyond the language cookie, which is technical because without it the site cannot serve you the correct version.
  • Analytics or measurement: they provide aggregated information about how the site is used so that it can be improved. They require your consent and are only installed if you give it.
  • Advertising or behavioural advertising: used to display ads or profile interests. This website uses no advertising cookies whatsoever.

Cookies used on this website

Technical or necessary cookies (first-party)

These are installed without consent because they are essential for the site to work and to remember your decision about the other cookies. All of them are first-party and persistent.

Analytics or measurement cookies (third-party)

These are third-party cookies, installed by Google Ireland Limited through the Google Analytics service, and persistent. They are only installed if you accept them. They provide aggregated information about how the site is used (which pages are visited, for how long, from what kind of device) so that it can be improved. If you do not accept them, they are not installed and no data is sent to Google.

_gaGoogle Ireland Limited — Google Analytics (third-party)Analytics / measurement · persistentDistinguishes users from one another by means of a random identifier, without collecting data that identifies you personally.400 days
_ga_00ZF7XZ7DCGoogle Ireland Limited — Google Analytics (third-party)Analytics / measurement · persistentMaintains the measurement session state for this specific Analytics property.400 days

Google Analytics requests a two-year lifetime for these two cookies, but browsers cap the expiry of cookies created through JavaScript — which is the case here — at a maximum of 400 days. That is therefore the actual storage period, and it is renewed each time you visit the site again.

You can read how Google processes this data in its privacy policy.

Advertising cookies

This website uses no advertising, behavioural advertising, marketing or cross-site tracking cookies, whether first-party or third-party. It also does not include social media pixels, embedded maps or third-party videos.

Access to the administration area

If you log in as a registered user, WordPress installs first-party technical cookies (wordpress_logged_in, a session cookie, and wp-settings, persistent with a storage period of one year) needed to keep you signed in and to remember your dashboard preferences. These cookies do not affect ordinary visits to the site.

Fonts and external resources

The fonts used on this site are hosted on our own server. They are not loaded from third-party servers, so your IP address is not disclosed to any external provider while you browse the website.

Managing your consent

The first time you visit the site, a notice is shown where you can accept or reject non-necessary cookies. You can change your decision at any time, either from the “Manage consent” link at the bottom of the screen or right here:

Rejecting non-necessary cookies does not restrict access to any content or service on this website.

Deleting cookies from your browser

In addition to the notice on this site, you can delete or block cookies from your browser settings. Note that if you block them entirely, some features may not behave as expected.

Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability regarding your personal data, as well as withdraw the consent you have given. Full details of the processing and how to exercise these rights are set out in the privacy policy.
